Simsbury Youth Cheerleaders will learn and perfect cheerleading skills like stunting, jumps, dance and motions, while supporting Simsbury Youth Football teams at Nutmeg League football games throughout the region. New for 2025, our cheerleaders will also have a chance to show off their skills at 1-3 local competitions to be held in Connecticut.  

• Registration for the upcoming season will open on Saturday, May 10th. 
• Roster spots will be confirmed via email by June 1 (or sooner based on when teams are filled). At that time, a practice schedule (to include mandatory choreography dates) and attendance policy will be shared and must be signed by all parents and athletes. Once received, an invoice for payment of registration fees will be sent.

• We anticipate maintaining wait lists for all three teams and will attempt to accommodate as many cheerleaders as possible with our limited coaching staff.

As always, coaching volunteers are welcome and will help us to open more roster spots!

Exceptions to this policy may be requested to the President, in special circumstances such as injury or relocation.

Choosing not to play, losing interest in the sport, expulsion due to a violation of our code of conduct policy or moving to another local program do not, in the view of Simsbury Youth Football & Cheer League (SYFCL) , qualify for a refund.

If a refund is approved, it would be less any fees and expenses incurred by SYFCL - including, but not limited to - financial processing fees, uniform and equipment already ordered.
